DEMO OBJECTIVE
Showcase The United Family Own Brands by sampling four fun, nostalgic Signature Select Ice Cream flavors. Encourage multi‑item basket purchases and inspire guests to explore new frozen treats perfect for warm‑weather snacking, family gatherings, and dessert occasions.

PRE‑DEMO PREPARATION
· Review full demo instructions prior to arrival.
· Review The United Family of Stores demo policies.
· Ensure all equipment and supplies are packed and ready.
PRODUCT VERIFICATION & PURCHASE (REQUIRED)
Retrieve 1 Signature Select Ice Cream flavor from the freezer section.
Take a selfie in‑store with the products and text to Karen & Lexi.
Take the products to a register and charge to Divvy Card.
Text photo of receipt to Karen & Lexi.
Save receipt for demo report upload.
Note: All opened product must be purchased at end of demo (please do not purchase the pint that you purchased at the beginning of the demo) using Divvy Card and receipt submitted with report.
WHAT TO BRING FROM HOME
All demo supplies must be brought from home except DFW store locations, which will have equipment & disposable demo supplies in the demo supply area.
Required Equipment
· Large Bowl or Cooler
· Portion cups (2 oz)
· Sample spoons
· Gloves
· Napkins
· Tablecloth
· Allergen Sign
· Apron (no logos)
· Hat or hair covering (no logos)
· Food Handler’s Card
· Smartphone (photos & reporting only)
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY SUPPLIES ON THE DIVVY CARD WITHOUT APPROVAL
Dress Code
· Long pants or jeans (no holes)
· Collared shirt or professional top
· Closed‑toe shoes
· No hoodies, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts
ARRIVAL & STORE CHECK‑IN
· Check in with Store Manager or Manager on Duty.
· Inform them you are sampling United Own Brands Signature Select Ice Cream.
· Confirm demo location.
· Locate all four flavors in the freezer aisle.
DEMO SETUP
Get a balloon from floral and tie it to the door where the ice cream is located. Please remove before you leave.
Cover table fully with tablecloth.
Keep backup product in freezer until needed.
Display Allergen Sign.
Organize cups, napkins, utensils and trash neatly.
Take photo of completed demo setup with you behind the table.
Wash hands thoroughly in a designated hand washing sink.
Put on gloves.
(Tip: If you are not located near the ice cream, you can store the pints for sale in a freezer close to you. Let guests know that they can grab one to purchase from you.)
Opening Inventory Count:
Record opening inventory of featured items as required.
ICE REQUIREMENTS
Ice cream must remain frozen and held at safe temperature.
You may obtain bagged ice by:
· Asking the Market Department
· Filling produce bags from the store ice machine
· Purchasing a bag of ice using the Divvy Card Place opened pints on bagged ice.
SAMPLING INSTRUCTIONS – SIGNATURE SELECT ICE CREAM
Open two pints at a time and rotate every hour.
Scoop a small, single‑bite portion into 2 oz portion cups.
Serve with a sample spoon.
Keep opened product on ice at all times.
FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENT
· Keep opened product on ice or in cooler at all times.
· Replace gloves anytime you touch non‑food surfaces.
CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT
Opening Line “Hi! Would you like to try our Signature Select Ice Cream? These fun, nostalgic flavors are part of our United Own Brands collection.”

CLEANUP & WRAP‑UP
· Dispose of trash properly.
· Clean and sanitize demo area and equipment.
· Return any unused unopened product to freezer.
Closing Inventory Count:
Record ending inventory of featured items.
Purchase Requirement:
Purchase any opened product at end of demo using Divvy Card. DO NOT PURCHASE THE PINT YOU PURCHASED AT START OF DEMO.
Save receipt for upload.
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
· Submit demo report per Four Star procedures.
· Submit opening and closing inventory counts (if required).
· Upload demo setup and action photos.
· Upload receipts (product verification and any opened product purchased).
