DEMO OBJECTIVE

Showcase The United Family Own Brands by demonstrating a fresh, sweet spring appetizer featuring Mi Pueblo tortillas and Lucerne Strawberry Cream Cheese. Inspire guests with a simple, family‑friendly treat perfect for spring gatherings, brunches, and snacking.

PRE‑DEMO PREPARATION

Review full recipe instructions prior to arrival.

Review The United Family of Stores demo policies.

Ensure all equipment and supplies are packed and ready.

 

PRODUCT VERIFICATION & PURCHASE (REQUIRED)

Retrieve Lucerne Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread from shelf (UPC 00021130043699).

Take a selfie in‑store with the product and text to Karen & Lexi.

Take the product to the Front Service Desk and charge to U Card or Divvy Card.

Text photo of receipt to Karen & Lexi.

Save receipt for demo report upload.

Note: All opened product must be purchased at end of demo using U Card and receipt submitted with report and to Bill app.

 

WHAT TO BRING FROM HOME

All demo supplies must be brought from home except DFW store locations, which will have equipment & disposable demo supplies in the demo supply area.

 

Required Equipment:

Cutting board & Butter Knife

Tupperware or plastic clam shell from food service (DO NOT PURCHASE TUPPERWARE ON U CARD OR DIVVY CARD).

Spatula or spreading knife

Portion cups (2 oz) or Cupcake Liners

Gloves

Napkins

Toothpicks (if needed)

Allergen Sign

Tablecloth, Apron (no logos) & Hat or hair covering (no logos)

Food Handler’s Card

Smartphone (photos & reporting only)

 

Dress Code:

Long pants or jeans (no holes)

Collared shirt or professional top

Closed‑toe shoes

No hoodies, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts

No Jewelry

 

ARRIVAL & STORE CHECK‑IN

Check in with Store Manager or Manager on Duty.

Inform them you are sampling a United Own Brands recipe (Strawberry Pinwheels).

Confirm demo location.

Set up in produce by strawberries, if possible.

Locate ingredients in‑store (bakery/tortillas, dairy, produce).

 

DEMO SETUP

Cover table fully with tablecloth.

Display ONLY shelf‑stable items on table (Mi Pueblo tortillas).

Do NOT display refrigerated items on table.

Once refrigerated items are opened, open packaging neatly and display empty packaging on table.

Display Allergen Sign.

Organize cups, napkins, and trash neatly.

Take photo of completed demo setup with you behind the table.

Wash hands thoroughly.

Put on gloves.

 

Opening Inventory Count:

Record opening inventory of featured items as required.

 

ICE REQUIREMENTS

If a product must be kept cold, it must be placed on bagged ice.

You may obtain bagged ice by:

Asking the Market Department Filling produce bags from the store ice machine

Purchasing a bag of ice using the U Card or Divvy Card

Place opened cream cheese on bagged ice.

 

MIXING & ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS – COLD PREP METHOD

Wash strawberries in designated sink for washing produce.

Remove stems & dice strawberries into small pieces.

Lay one Mi Pueblo flour tortilla flat on the cutting board.

Spread a thin, even layer of Lucerne Strawberry Cream Cheese over the entire tortilla.

Sprinkle a small handful of diced strawberries evenly across the surface.

Roll the tortilla tightly into a log.

Slice into 1‑inch pinwheels using a knife.

Keep prepared pinwheels chilled on ice in Tupperware or Plastic Clam Shell when not actively portioning.

 

SAMPLING PROCEDURE

Place 1 pinwheel into each 2 oz portion cup or cupcake liner.

Serve with toothpick to hold together, if needed.

Place sample at the front of the demo station for guest to pick up.

 

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

CLEANUP & WRAP‑UP

Dispose of trash properly.

Clean and sanitize demo area.

 

Closing Inventory Count:

Record ending inventory of featured items as required.

 

Purchase Requirement:

Purchase any opened product at end of demo using U Card or Divvy Card.

Save receipt for upload.

 

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Submit demo report per Four Star procedures.

Submit demo setup, selfie & receipt photos.

Upload receipts to report and Bill app (if Divvy card was used) - product verification and any opened product purchased.
