Demo Objective

Supplies to Obtain In Store
• Pita chips for sampling — purchase in store
• Bagged ice — purchase in store or obtain from Market Department if available
• Two floral arrangements from the Floral Department for table display (RETURN after demo – do NOT purchase)
Arrival & Store Check-In
1. Check in with the Store Director or Manager on Duty.
2. Let them know you are there to conduct an Esti Foods demo.
3. Ask where they would like the demo station set up.
4. Locate the Roasted Garlic Hummus in the deli department.
5. Take a selfie in store and text it to Karen & Lexi.
6. Take the product to the Front Service Desk and charge to the BGC account.
7. Text a picture of the receipt to Karen & Lexi and save it for the demo report.
Demo Setup
• Set up your demo table close to the refrigerated product location since items cannot remain unrefrigerated on the table.
• Place floral arrangements from the Floral Department on the table for display.
• Display the allergen sign for guest safety.
• Place opened hummus containers on bagged ice to maintain safe temperatures.
Time as a Public Health Control
If hummus is removed from refrigeration for sampling, it must follow Time as a Public Health Control procedures.
• Write the time the product was removed from refrigeration on the container or on a time log.
• The product may be held for sampling for a maximum of 4 hours.
• Write the discard time (4 hours after removal).
• Any product remaining after the 4-hour window must be discarded and cannot be returned to refrigeration.

Sampling Procedure
1. Serve four flavors at a time throughout the demo.
2. Place one pita chip in a portion cup.
3. Add a spoonful of hummus on top of the chip.
4. Place the sample at the front of the demo station for guests to pick up.
5. Encourage guests to try multiple flavors.
Customer Engagement & Talking Points When guests approach:
• Greet them and invite them to sample Esti Mediterranean hummus.
• Share key selling points about the product.
• Ask guests which flavor they would like to try.
• Encourage guests to try multiple flavors.
• Ask which one is their favorite.
• If they enjoy it, encourage them to purchase while they are nearby.
Example: “These are Esti Mediterranean hummus dips made with simple ingredients and no preservatives. Which flavor would you like to try first?”
Verify End of Demo
1. Stop serving samples early enough to allow time for cleanup.
2. Return floral arrangements to the Floral Department.
3. Take all additional items (EXCEPT CHECK IN ITEM) to the Front Service Desk and purchase on the BGC Account if instructed.
4. Text receipt photos to Karen & Lexi.
5. Complete the demo report.
