DEMO OBJECTIVE

Showcase The United Family Own Brands by demonstrating a fresh, crunchy, sweet‑and‑savory spring side dish featuring Signature Select Broccoli Coleslaw and a simple creamy dressing. Inspire guests with an easy, crowd‑pleasing salad perfect for spring gatherings, cookouts, and entertaining.

PRE‑DEMO PREPARATION

• Review full recipe instructions prior to arrival.

• Review The United Family of Stores demo policies.

• Ensure all equipment and supplies are packed and ready.

 

PRODUCT VERIFICATION & PURCHASE (REQUIRED)

• Retrieve 1 Signature Select Mayonnaise.

• Take a selfie in‑store with the product and shelf and text to Karen & Lexi. DO NOT UPLOAD TO REPORT. Text immediately to Karen.

• Take the product to a register and charge to Divvy Card.

• Text photo of receipt to Karen & Lexi.

• Save receipt for demo report upload and to be uploaded to the Bill Spend & Expense app.

Note: All opened product must be purchased at end of demo using Divvy Card and receipt submitted with report and to Bill Spend and Expense app.

 

WHAT TO BRING FROM HOME

All demo supplies must be brought from home except DFW store locations, which will have equipment & disposable demo supplies in the demo supply area.

Required Equipment:

• Mixing bowl (Do Not Purchase on Divvy Card)

• Spatula or stirring spoon (Do Not Purchase on Divvy Card)

• Portion cups (2 oz)

• Plastic Forks

• Gloves

• Napkins

• Allergen Sign

• Tablecloth, Apron (no logos) & Hat or hair covering (no logos)

• Food Handler’s Card

 

ARRIVAL & STORE CHECK‑IN

• Check in with Store Manager or Manager on Duty.

• Inform them you are sampling a United Own Brands recipe (Creamy Broccoli Slaw).

• Confirm demo location.

• Locate ingredients in‑store (produce, condiments).

 

DEMO SETUP

• Cover table fully with tablecloth.

• Display ONLY shelf‑stable items on table (mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, raisins).

• Do NOT display refrigerated items on table.

• Once refrigerated items are opened, open packaging neatly and display empty packaging on table. Mayo will need to be placed on ice.

• Display Allergen Sign.

• Organize cups, napkins, and trash neatly.

• Take photo of completed demo table.

• Wash hands thoroughly.

• Put on gloves.

 

Opening Inventory Count:

Record opening inventory of featured items as required.

 

ICE REQUIREMENTS

If a product must be kept cold, it must be placed on bagged ice.

You may obtain bagged ice by:

• Asking the Market Department

• Filling produce bags from the store ice machine

• Purchasing a bag of ice using the Divvy Card Place mixture of broccoli slaw mix and Mayo on ice.

 

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

• Add 1 full bag Signature Select Broccoli Coleslaw to mixing bowl.

• Add ½ cup or (2 portion cups) Signature Select Mayonnaise.

• Add 1 tablespoon or (¼ portion cup) Signature Select Apple Cider Vinegar.

• Add 1 teaspoon (approximately the tip of your index finger) Signature Select Dijon Mustard.

• Add ¼ cup or (1 portion cup) Signature Farms Raisins.

• Stir until fully combined.

• Keep prepared slaw chilled on ice.

 

FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENT

• Keep bowl placed over bagged ice at all times.

• Record date/time any product is removed from refrigeration on the packaging or a log.

 

SAMPLING PROCEDURE

• Place a small portion of broccoli slaw into a 2 oz portion cup with fork.

• Place sample at the front of the demo station for guest to pick up.
