Product Information & Flavor Profiles
  • Classic Chicken Salad – Traditional homestyle chicken salad made with white meat chicken, creamy mayonnaise, celery, chicken broth, onion powder, garlic powder, and white pepper. Smooth, creamy, savory flavor with classic deli-style appeal.

  • Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad – Tender white meat chicken blended with creamy mayo, crisp celery, pecans, craisins, pineapple, apple cider vinegar, and local honey for a sweet-and-savory flavor profile with crunch and a touch of sweetness.

  • Rotisserie Chicken Salad – Shredded white meat chicken with creamy mayonnaise, celery, onion, black pepper, Tabasco sauce, and mesquite smoke marinade. Smoky, savory flavor with a slight kick and rotisserie-style seasoning.

  • Classic Tuna Salad – Yellowfin tuna mixed with creamy salad dressing, hard-boiled eggs, celery, and sweet relish. Traditional deli-style tuna salad with creamy texture and slightly sweet flavor.

 
What to Bring From Home
  • Table & Tablecloth

  • Apron & Hat

  • Food handler’s card

  • Ice bucket or bowl for bagged ice

  • Portion cups

  • Plastic spoons or forks

  • Gloves

  • Napkins

 
Arrival & Store Check-In
  • Go to deli department and take a selfie by the shelf and text it to Karen. (Do not upload selfie to the demo report.)

  • Take a picture of the shelf to upload to the demo report.

  • Take one container of Ron’s Salad (make sure to label date/time removed from refrigeration on container or log) to the register and purchase on the Divvy card. Upload receipt to the Bill Spend & Expense app and save to upload to the demo report.

  • Go to the Front Service Desk and ask for a Manager to check in. Ask where they would like you to set up your demo station.

  • Count opening inventory.

 
Food Safety Requirements
  • Wash hands thoroughly in designated handwashing sink before handling food or supplies.

  • Keep all opened containers on bagged ice inside an ice bucket or bowl throughout the demo.

  • Use gloves when preparing and serving samples.

  • Label all opened products using Time as a Public Health procedures by writing the date and time product was removed from refrigeration.

  • If a sampling container has been open for 2 hours without being fully sampled, discard remaining product and open a fresh container.

  • Maintain a clean and organized demo area at all times.

 
Demo Set-Up
  • Cover table completely with tablecloth.

  • Borrow non-breakable floral arrangement or decorations from floral department to display on your table.

  • Place one container of each flavor in your bowl on bagged ice (make sure each container is labeled with date/time removed from refrigeration or a log is kept with that information).

  • Display Allergen Sign.

  • Arrange portion cups, plastic spoons or forks, napkins, and gloves neatly.

  • Product cannot be displayed on the table because it is a refrigerated item.

  • Take a picture of the completed demo station.

 
Sampling Procedure
  • Sample all four flavors at the same time.

  • As guest approaches table, share salads you have available for guests to sample and ask which one they would like to sample first.

  • Place a spoonful of desired salad in portion cup and place in front of demo station for guest to pick up while sharing information about product and selling points.

  • Ask for guest feedback and if they would like to try another salad, repeating the process.

  • If guest enjoys product, let guests know where to find product in store.

Clean Up & Wrap Up
  • Count closing inventory.

  • Return borrowed floral items or decorations to floral department.

  • Discard any remaining open sample product according to food safety guidelines or purchase remaining items with the Divvy card before leaving.

  • Purchase all remaining opened containers on the Divvy card during check-out.

  • Upload final receipt(s) to the Bill Spend & Expense app and Demo Report.

  • Complete demo report and upload all required demo pictures and receipts.
