DEMO OBJECTIVE

Introduce guests to CALPICO Waters and Glico Pocky. Encourage guests to sample the beverages cold and pair them with Pocky for an easy snack-and-drink combination.

WHAT TO BRING FROM HOME

DFW Store locations will have the supplies in the supply area except for table cloth, ice bucket, apron & hat.

• Portion cups

• Napkins

• Gloves

• Apron & hat

• Ice bucket or bowl

 

ARRIVAL & STORE CHECK-IN

• Upon arrival, locate product on shelf or in cold cases.

• Take a selfie in-store and text to Karen (do not upload to demo report).

• Take a photo at the product shelf.

• Check in with Store Management and confirm demo location.

• Count opening inventory.

 

PRODUCT VERIFICATION & PURCHASE (REQUIRED)

• Select 1 of any CALPICO flavor from the shelf for verification.

• Purchase product using Divvy Card.

• Upload receipt to Bill Spend & Expense app.

• Save receipt for demo report.

 

DEMO SET UP

• Immediately begin chilling CALPICO product.

• Ensure all CALPICO samples are served cold.

• Place multiple bottles of each CALPICO flavor and multiple boxes of each Pocky flavor on the table for display and purchase.

• Use an ice bucket with bagged ice for opened CALPICO bottles.

• Set up clean, organized demo station with supplies.

• Display allergen sign if available.

 

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT IDEAS

• Ask guests if they have ever tried Japanese snacks or beverages before.

• Encourage guests to pair different CALPICO and Pocky flavors together.

• Ask guests which flavor combination is their favorite.

• Share that CALPICO is popular internationally and has a unique creamy, tangy flavor profile.

• Explain that Pocky is a fun, easy snack that pairs perfectly with beverages.

• Encourage guests to try more than one flavor combination.

 

SAMPLING PROCEDURE

• Greet each guest and invite them to try CALPICO Waters and Glico Pocky.

• Ask which CALPICO flavor they would like to try first.

• While speaking, pour CALPICO sample into portion cup and place at front of station.

• Offer Pocky with the beverage sample. Each Pocky stick can provide 2–3 samples.

• Share flavor notes and key selling points.

• Ask guests which flavor is their favorite.

• Encourage guests to try multiple flavors.

• Encourage purchase if they enjoy the product.

 

CLEAN UP & WRAP UP

• Clean and sanitize demo area.

• Dispose of all waste properly.

• Count closing inventory.

• Purchase any additional product opened during demo using Divvy Card.

• Upload receipt to Bill Spend & Expense app.

• Complete demo report and upload all required photos and receipts.
