DEMO OBJECTIVE

Highlight The United Family Own Brands by demonstrating a warm, sweet, Easter‑inspired treat made with Signature Select and Lucerne products. Drive multi‑item basket purchases and inspire guests with a simple, meaningful recipe perfect for Easter gatherings and spring celebrations.

 

RECIPE FEATURE – EASTER ENTERTAINING

· Soft, golden crescent rolls filled with cinnamon‑sugar butter and a melting marshmallow center.

PRE‑DEMO PREPARATION

· Review full recipe instructions prior to arrival.

· Review The Four Star Demos Checklist.

· Print and bring Time/Temp Log.

· Ensure all equipment and supplies are packed and ready.

 

PRODUCT VERIFICATION & PURCHASE (REQUIRED)

Retrieve 1 bag of Signature Select Large Marshmallows.

Take a selfie in‑store with the marshmallows and text to Karen & Lexi.

Take the marshmallows to the Front Service Desk and charge to the U Card or Divvy Card.

Text a photo of the receipt to Karen & Lexi.

If used Divvy Card, immediately upload to Bill Spend & Expense app.

Save the receipt for demo report upload.

Note: Any opened product used during the demo must be purchased at the end of the demo using the U Card or Virtual Card, and the receipt must be submitted with the report.

If using Divvy card, must be uploaded to Bill Spend & Expense app.

 

WHAT TO BRING FROM HOME

All demo supplies must be brought from home except DFW store locations, which will have equipment and disposable demo supplies in the demo supply area.

 

Required Equipment

· Toaster oven & extension cord

· Tongs/Spatula, Knife & Cutting Board

· Portion cups (2 oz)

· Gloves

· Napkins

· Sample forks or toothpicks

· Tablecloth & Apron (no logos)

· Allergen Sign & Food Handler’s Card

· Hat or hair covering (no logos)

· Pot Holders

· Smartphone (photos & reporting only)

 

Dress Code

· Long pants or jeans (no holes)

· Collared shirt or professional top

· Closed‑toe shoes

· No hoodies, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts

 

ARRIVAL & STORE CHECK‑IN

· Check in with Store Manager or Manager on Duty.

· Inform them you are sampling a United Own Brands recipe (Resurrection Rolls).

· Confirm demo location.

· Locate ingredients in‑store (refrigerated dough, baking supplies, marshmallows, butter).

 

DEMO SETUP

· Cover table fully with tablecloth.

· Display ONLY shelf‑stable items on table (sugar, cinnamon, marshmallows before opening).

· Do NOT display refrigerated items on table.

· Once refrigerated items are opened for use, open packaging neatly & display empty packaging on table.

· Display Allergen Sign.

· Organize cups, napkins, forks/toothpicks, and trash neatly.

· Take photo of the completed demo setup with you behind the table.

· Wash hands thoroughly.

· Put on gloves.

 

Opening Inventory Count:

Count and record opening inventory of featured items as required by program.

 

ICE REQUIREMENTS

If any product must remain cold (butter), it must be placed on bagged ice per The United Family Food Safety Director.

 

You may obtain bagged ice by:

· Asking the Market Department

· Filling produce bags from the store ice machine

· Purchasing a bag of ice using the U Card or Divvy card (pay at check out).

Place opened refrigerated product on bagged ice.

 

MIXING & PREP INSTRUCTIONS – HEATED PREP METHOD

Preheat toaster oven according to crescent roll package instructions.

Melt a small amount of Lucerne Salted Butter by placing an oven safe container on the tray to melt while you prep.

You can use a soup bowl from Food Service or a small aluminum tin that is the most affordable.

In a small bowl, mix Signature Select Sugar with Signature Select Ground Cinnamon.

Open crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.

Dip one Signature Select Large Marshmallow into melted butter.

Roll marshmallow in cinnamon‑sugar mixture.

Place marshmallow at the wide end of a crescent triangle and roll tightly, sealing edges.

Line toaster oven tray with parchment paper (purchase most affordable available if not already in supply area or with Demo Specialist’s supplies). Place on baking tray and bake until golden brown.

Allow to cool slightly before sampling.

 

SAMPLING PROCEDURE

· Cut each Resurrection Roll into 4 small sample‑sized pieces.

· Place samples into 2 oz portion cups.

· Provide napkins and forks/toothpicks as required.

· Place portion cups at the front of the demo station for guests to pick up.

· Prepare fresh small batches as needed.

Closing Inventory Count:

Count and record ending inventory of featured items as required by program.

 

Purchase Requirement:

Purchase any opened product at end of demo using U Card.

Save receipt for upload.

 

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

· Submit demo report per Four Star procedures.

· Submit opening and closing inventory counts (if required for this program).

· Submit demo setup and photos.

· Upload receipts (product verification and any additional opened product).
