Arrival & Store Check-In
1. Check in at the Information Desk and ask for the Foodie Lead.
2. Ask the Foodie Lead for the Dutch Oven Smokehouse coupons that have been provided for guests.
3. Purchase one Dutch Oven Smokehouse sauce and one package of smoked sausage using the Divvy card.
4. Take a picture of the demo station before washing your hands.
5. Send a shelf selfie and shelf photo to Karen & Lexi.
6. Wash hands and put on gloves and hairnet.
Demo Set Up
1. Display allergen sign.
2. Arrange products neatly by flavor.
3. Display 6–8 units of each flavor for guests to purchase.
4. Keep coupons available at the front of the table.
5. Place samples and napkins at the front of the station.
6. Organize products so guests can easily compare flavor options.
Sampling Procedure Preparing the Smoked Sausage
If using a skillet:
1. Turn skillet to 325°F.
2. Place smoked sausage into skillet and heat for 4–5 minutes, turning occasionally.
3. Check temperature using the store-provided meat thermometer.
4. Sausage must reach 160°F before serving. Document temperature on the Time/Temp Log.
5. Remove sausage from skillet and slice into ½-inch medallions.
6. Toggle skillet between "Keep Warm" and "Off" throughout the demo to prevent the sausage from drying out.
If using a toaster oven:
1. Preheat toaster oven to 325°F.
2. Place smoked sausage into toaster oven.
3. Heat for 3–4 minutes or until warm.
4. Check temperature using the store-provided meat thermometer.
5. Sausage must reach 160°F before serving. Document temperature on the Time/Temp Log.
6. Remove sausage and slice into ½-inch medallions.
7. Turn off toaster oven after heating and use residual heat to keep sausage warm.
Serving Guests
1. Ask guests which flavor they would like to start with.
2. Briefly explain the flavor profile while serving.
3. While sharing the selling points, place one slice of smoked sausage into a portion cup and squeeze a nickel-size amount of the guest's selected sauce onto the sausage.
4. Serve with a toothpick.
5. Place sample at the front of the station for guest pickup.
6. Offer additional flavors for comparison.
7. Discuss recipe ideas and usage suggestions.
8. Offer a coupon to interested guests.
9. Encourage guests to purchase their favorite flavor before leaving.
Clean Up & Wrap Up
1. Clean and sanitize the demo area.
2. Discard any remaining heated sausage.
3. Dispose of all sample materials.
4. Purchase all opened products using the Divvy card.
5. Complete the Time/Temp Log.
6. Take final inventory counts.
7. Upload receipt to Bill Spend & Expense.
8. Complete the demo report.
9. Upload shelf photo, table photo, and required reporting photos.
