Demo Objective
Introduce guests to two award-winning artisan Wisconsin cheeses made exclusively from milk produced by Hoard's own Guernsey dairy herd. Encourage guests to compare the two varieties while educating them about Hoard's Dairyman Farm Creamery's history, award-winning cheesemaking traditions, and the unique qualities of Guernsey milk.

Hoard's Dairyman Farm Creamery is located in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and operates its own award-winning Guernsey dairy herd. The Guernsey breed is known for naturally rich milk with higher butterfat and protein, producing exceptionally creamy, flavorful cheeses. Demo Kit
A demo kit has been shipped to the store. The Wisconsin Cheese Badge MUST be displayed throughout the demo. If the demo kit cannot be located upon arrival, call Karen immediately.
Store Arrival & Check-In

Check in with store management.

Locate the demo kit. If missing, call Karen immediately.

Gather all demo supplies.

Take a selfie by the shelf & text to Karen.

Take a shelf picture to upload to the demo report.

Count opening inventory.
Demo Set Up

Display the Wisconsin Cheese Badge prominently.
-
Arrange products and promotional materials.
-
You CANNOT display cheese on your table because you will be removing it from refrigeration.

Set up near the case where the product is located so you can easily direct guests where to purchase.

Display Allergen Sign.

Take a picture of your demo station – you must display and take a clear picture of the Wisconsin Cheese Badge from the demo kit. If the kit could not be located, you must contact Karen immediately. She can provide a pdf version to the store that they can print (in color) for you to then place on your table.

Text a picture of the demo station to Karen BEFORE you begin your demo

Wash your hands in the designated handwashing sink.

Rinse the grapes in the designated produce washing sink (ask where this is located).
IMPORTANT: Hoard's requires photos clearly showing the Wisconsin Cheese Badge for reimbursement.
Take several photos with the badge visible.
Sampling Procedure

Follow Time as a Public Health procedures.

Offer Port Salut first.
-
Offer a grape as a palate cleanser.
-
Offer Camembert second.
-
Explain flavor differences and Guernsey milk story.
-
Encourage guests to purchase both cheeses.
Food Safety
-
Keep unopened cheese refrigerated.
-
Document Time as a Public Health.
-
Discard product after approved holding time.
-
Maintain a clean sampling area.
Product Display
-
Do not display refrigerated product on the table.
-
Empty packaging may be displayed.
-
Recommend maintaining 6–8 packages of each cheese in the refrigerated case.

Let the cheese team members know when you are running low so they can replenish the case.

Ask them to let you know how many they put out each time to help maintain your sales/inventory numbers.
Clean Up & Wrap Up

Dispose of samples properly

Clean the demo station

Count ending inventory

Purchase any additional cheeses and/or grapes used to sample on the Divvy Card.

Upload receipt to the Bill Spend & Expense app.

Complete demo report including uploading required photos, receipts, table & shelf pictures.
